I could never handle the treadmill for that long.

Good luck in Chicago, you've trained hard and deserve that sub-3 hour time..jokachhttp://www.getyourserenity.com/blognoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16355615.post-42518940979939705322009-09-17T17:48:04.005-07:002009-09-17T17:48:04.005-07:00SallyRR, thanks for the feedback. However, it's extremely convenient as it saves me a ton of time ; and definitely "keeps me honest" on the pace & interval workouts. If my tread is off, it is offset by the fact that I would not get in the mileage and the workout intensity outside due to limited time/schedule implications.Ryanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18340810097551928846noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16355615.post-37840098702516401872009-09-17T10:19:59.170-07:002009-09-17T10:19:59.170-07:00Your performances are amazing, but I really love y...Your performances are amazing, but I really love your confidence. I've noticed that several of your recent races haven't matched up with your treadmill training, i.e. you can run a sub 38 10K or 15 miles at goal pace on your treadmill but outdoor races haven't resulted in similar times. We know you can do a sub 3:00, you proved it earlier this year, but you've also put probably 500 miles on your treadmill since then. You may want to check the calibration on your treadmill, if it is off, you could unknowningly be undertraining which could hurt your race performance. Take a look at this site: http://www.runquick.com/corcorn/treadmill.html. Alternatively, consider doing speedwork on a track or USATF certified course and for longer goal pace runs do these outside at least once a month, just to experience real world conditions.SallyRRnoreply@blogger.com
